Halo Infinite Banished Campaign Models

This is some of the work I did while at 343, for Halo Infinite. This work includes some examples from my work as a environment artist on the environment content team for campaign, working on the Banished assets, my work as an outsource artist/asset integration specialist, managing/reviewing/polishing the work from vendor artists and my work as an environment artist on Forge, making assets designed for non-uniform scaling and material swap.

The pipe set shown here is my modeling, uv and material assignment work (with the exception of the dirt, done by the biomes team). The materials were created in substance designer using a multi-UV setup for consistent texel density mixed with trim/decal sheet details and were made by the surfacing team.

The containers shown are examples of work that I did review and polish on from our outsource partner, Mandali Games, who were a great pleasure to work with. I modeled some portions (such as the strap) and did the final material assignments as well as some other minor polish. As an asset integration specialist/outsource artist, I helped manage a group of artists working on hundreds of banished assets. Lastly, the "UNSC Cover Half" and the "UNSC Triangle" are examples of the environment art prop work I did for Forge. I created these to work with a Houdini tool created by our tech artist that procedurally cut them into sections for use with our in-game system that allows Forgers to scale the objects in non-uniform ways/single directions, without warping textures. I also set up material assignments and chose material types in a way designed to work with the Forge system that allows Forgers to swap colors and materials on the assets. I was part of the development of both of these processes, working closely with a graphics engineer and our tech artists to debug the tools, including, in the case of the material swap, consulting on GLSL shader code.
